The Cooke i/Panchros are a smaller, lighter set of primes that compliment Cooke’s S4 range of lenses. Slightly slower at t2.8, the panchros offer the ‘Cooke look’ with a lower cost and lighter weight option. They are also uniquely available with uncoated front elements, giving a very flared effect similar to other vintage uncoated lenses without the troublesome housing. Available in 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm and 100mm all T2.8.

Sony F65 Arrives
Filmscape have taken delivery of one of the UKs first F65 units. Sony’s flagship 4k camera provides a versatile alternative to the Arri Alexa and RED Epic, and with some incredibly impressive specs and advantages over both, provides some healthy competition.
The F65 has one of the most advanced sensors available, with 13 stops of dynamic range and an 8k sensor debayered to 4k 16GB/s RAW. It features onboard recording to up to 1TB SSD drives, rotary shutter as standard to eliminate the aliasing problems of it’s rivals and built in IRND filters.
No camera available has as varied a range of formats as the F65. For the biggest budgets it features the highest quality RAW recording to it’s onboard SR Memory cards. For anything else, the camera can be set to record a huge variety of formats right down to SRLite 4:2:2 and 4:4:4, giving productions a Prores equivalent to fit into their existing Alexa workflows.
Sony have partnered with all major post production software providers including Avid, Apple Quicktime, Scratch Lab and Yo Yotta to ensure that your workflow is in already in place. Virtually any existing Alexa workflow will work seamlessly with the F65, including the use of Cinedecks and Ki Pro external recorders if that’s what you need. There are a variety of possibilities in terms of format, and one of our technicians would be happy to talk you through it.
Call us today for a demo or an enquiry, F65s are available from mid February.
