Description:
The PMW-F3 is Sony's latest addition to the increasingly popular area of Digital 35mm replacement cameras. The 1080p 35mm sensor is as revolutionary in a camera of this size as the Canon 7D was in 2010, but in the hands of professional video camera manufacturers the result is much better.
With so many years of camcorder design behind them, Sony have created a camera with all the functions of a DV video camcorder but with the sensor quality of a high end cinema camera. Full size stereo XLR inputs, HDMI and SDI outputs as well as genlock and timecode features combine with a host of standard video features to make a formidable video camera.
With our custom 15mm/19mm baseplates, these cameras can be used safely and effectively with all existing Arri equipment and lenses. This makes it the perfect B camera for any high end shoot, as well as a great alternative to the DSLR market as it is both user friendly and cost effective.
The XDCam EX workflow is a tried and tested solid state recording option and is identical to that of the ever popular EX3 - meaning it can be ingested and quickly integrated into existing post production pipelines.
